Koch Media Announces Games You Won’t See at E3 2021
New reveals, announcements and long-awaited updates are all coming to the E3 2021 virtual conference. A huge variety of large and small publishers, developers and studios will each take their time slot to give their fans the news they’ve been waiting for.
One of the studios that will be attending digitally is Koch Media, and they’re already standing out from the crowd by confirming the games you won’t see at E3 2021.
The games that will not be included in their presentation are Metro, Dead Island 2, TimeSplitters, and Saint’s Row. Sad news for everyone like me who was getting hyped for some Dead Island 2 news. Saint’s Row could have also been a contender this year if they’d had some exciting updates.
The official tweet came from Deep Silver, publisher and developer. The company let fans know that their parent company, Koch Media, would have some announcements during the Summer Games Fest E3 event on June 11th. To temper anyone’s expectations, though, they then listed the games that will not be featured. The Twitter post read:
“Our parent company @KochMedia_HQ is making an announcement as part of #SummerGamesFest on June 11th. To give you a head’s up, you won’t see Dead Island, Saints Row, Metro or TimeSplitters there (or at any other E3 2021 event). We’ll let you know when we have news to share.”
Deep Silver
The Primetime Gaming Stream from Koch Media is a press conference held on June 11th. It looks like this announcement was made well ahead of the event to prevent any disappointment surrounding these fan-favourite titles. We have been waiting on updates for some of these games for quite a while, so admittedly the news still isn’t good. But, at least Deep Silver soothed fans by letting them know they’ll share any news when they can.
If you haven’t kept up with their previous reveals, Deep Silver announced in May that Saint’s Row The Third: Remastered would be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 25th, and PC via GOG on May 22nd. TimeSplitters was also mentioned when it was announced that the developers from Free Radical were collaborating on a new entry in the series.
Previously at E3 2014, Dead Island 2 was revealed in its concept form but received no further confirmation. The newest instalment in the Metro franchise, Metro Exodus, is reportedly coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for June 18th, which will be satisfying for players who’ve been a fan since its original 2019 release.
We think Koch Media and Deep Silver made a good choice in buffering expectations ahead of E3 going live. Luckily, there will be plenty more announcements, releases and teasers to enjoy during the Summer Game Fest segment with Koch Media. What are your predictions?
