Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance Now on Switch
Having suffered a few weeks of delays, the classic Diablo-like RPG action game Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance has come out for the Nintendo Switch and is available to buy in the eShop from today.
This brilliant game, bringing the official Dungeons and Dragons world of Forgotten Realms to an action RPG setting, originally came out for the PlayStation 2 twenty years ago and is seeing a new console resurgence; thanks to developers Black Isle giving it a polish.
This is not a remaster or remake, but a straight port, so don’t expect anything too new. Nonetheless, it’s a welcome addition to modern consoles, proving that good games don’t die—they get resurrected.
Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance has been available for PS4/PS5 and Xbox since May 7th, with the Switch version arriving just a little late to the party. 4K enhancements have been made on the consoles that support it.
