ASUS Graphics Cards Price Increase Confirmed

At the start of January, we brought you news on ASUS’ announcement that prices were on the increase. We can now confirm how much ASUS has increased the RTX 3070, 3080 & 3090 graphics card ranges.

ASUS has increased the price it sells cards at by approximately (accounting for exchange rate fluctuations) the following:

  • RTX 3070 series: £20 – £40 ($30 – $50)
  • RTX 3080 series: £75 ($100)
  • RTX 3090 series: £150 ($200)

The cost of shipping a 40ft container from the Far East to Europe has risen from around £2,000 to £14,000 over the past 6 months. Along with numerous other additional expenses such a new trade tariffs, it is unlikely that price increases will stop with ASUS and, as previously reported, MSI.

Retailers will face the brunt of consumers’ frustration as graphics cards such as the RTX 3080 start to verge perilously close to the £1,000 mark.
