MSI the Latest to Increase Prices

MSI are the latest GPU manufacturer to increase its prices. Over the coming weeks, the price MSI sells it’s graphics cards to direct partners and distributors, is set to rise by $50 – $150 a card.

MSI aren’t the first, and there’s little doubt they shall be the last, to bump their prices up. ASUS unveiled last week that they too are increasing prices.

Across the range, the price changes are:

  • RTX 3060 – $50 increase
  • RTX 3070 – $50 – $80 increase
  • RTX 3080 – $80 – $100 increase
  • RTX 3090 – $150 increase

The higher cost prices will have a knock-on effect, resulting in cards at retailers being more expensive. And, while retailers may try to absorb some of the hikes, the amounts exceed typical fluctuations due to exchange rates and such like. All this means consumers can expect to see the price of an MSI graphics card to go up through February, and into March.
