Bowser has snatched Princess Peach once again, and this time he’s planning a lavish, no-expense-spared wedding!

The spiny groom-to-be has embarked on a trip around the world to prepare for the festivities. It’s up to Mario to catch up with him and crash the wedding, but the pesky Broodals won’t make it easy.

Mario Teams up with Cap in Super Mario Odyssey

Introducing Cappy, a resident of the Cap Kingdom who’s taken the form of Mario’s trademark red hat. By making use of Cappy’s amazing ability to Capture enemies, Mario can do all sorts of new things!

You might be familiar with Mario’s talents when it comes to running and jumping, but now he’s got a whole new set of skills thanks to his trusty pal, Cappy! Throw Cappy at enemies and objects. Mario can take out foes with a well-placed throw, or use Cappy to trigger switches and smash blocks.

Throw Cappy at enemies and objects to Capture them! Doing so allows Mario to take on their abilities, which’ll certainly come in handy on his adventure.

Play Together with a Friend

Two players can team up and work together, with Player 1 controlling Mario, and Player 2 controlling Cappy. With a Joy-Con each, you can buddy up with someone sitting next to you and enjoy Mario’s adventure together in Super Mario Odyssey.

There’s Something for Everyone!

Super Mario Odyssey has something for players of all skill levels. Beginners don’t have to worry about getting stuck, because there’s guidance available while they learn the ropes. Veteran Mario players, meanwhile, can challenge themselves to track down every last enticing item – which is quite a tricky feat!

Track down scattered items. Find all the hidden power moons and regional coins. You could even try out assist mode, for anyone unfamiliar with Mario games.
